I'm sorry that you have to read this today, but this has been fresh in my mind since Saturday.
Saturday I went on the Great and Terrible Shoe Quest. I've needed some new sneakers since last April, and the time had come to again do some searching. I went to several different stores, but to no avail. I was thwarted in my Shoe Quest, mainly because it has been decreed that if you wear anything less then a size 5, you are a little girl and love the color pink.
I like pink. I really do. It 's a nice color, one that I can wear and looks good on me. However, when your only choice of footwear is, and has been for the past 15 years, pink, it gets old fast. I just have one thing to say to all those shoemakers out there: Why? Why do you assume everyone with small feet is 9 years old? I'm 25 for the sake of Pete! I don't want pink shoes!
I actually did find a pair of shoes that I liked that weren't pink. Unfortunately for me, the store had them in size 2 and size 3, but not the happy medium, the only size that would fit me: the elusive 2 1/2. Alas. It's not to be.
End rant starting..... now.

I agree! Even though I am a size 5 and it's not necessarily in the same boat that we travel. It's frustrating! And you, my friend, are hilarious.
Thanks my dear!
Annie had me read this. It is so true. I feel your pain. Notice how many more choices there are as the sizes go up? Size 7 has a lot of choices. Why? Is that the average women's shoe size? Anyway, I loved your comments. You do really well at writing. Never think other wise.
BTW: Please tell Teri that I'm excited for her. The bell choir. That is such good news.
